Accommodation Australia (Victoria)’s membership reflects a wide range of accommodation providers. From regional motels to international hotel brands, we represent the breadth and diversity of Victoria’s accommodation sector.
Through our connection to the national and state branches of Accommodation Australia and the Australian Hotels Association, we engage in advocacy efforts that protect and promote the interests of our members.
We leverage long standing relationships with key industry stakeholders, government agencies and parliamentarians with relevant portfolio responsibilities to ensure policy settings are fair and strong.
We take pride in our industry, using our voice to amplify the good news stories and successful business outcomes that result from the efforts and innovation of Victoria’s accommodation sector.

INDUSTRY
Victoria is a highly desirable destination of choice for domestic and international visitors. Hosted accommodation is central to our state’s hospitality and tourism offer.
Our hosted accommodation inventory is fast becoming the envy of all other Australian states and territories. Particularly given Victoria boasts Australia’s largest new hotel development pipeline. Melbourne’s hotel room stocks are rising from 38,000 rooms (2019) to 45,000 by 2026.

Their businesses comply with a range of regulations, including food safety, fire safety, liquor licensing, planning and building amenity, employment and taxation laws that are designed to protect the safety and security of guests, hosts, operators and workers.
They help enable spend across Victoria’s broader visitor economy to reach a projected $35b, with 300,000 Victorians employed across the sector by June 2024, both well above pre-pandemic levels.

Working out of the AHA (Vic) office on Little Collins Street, Melbourne we work to understand and lead our members through industry challenges and opportunities for growth.

ADVISORY GROUP
Senior hoteliers voluntarily give their time to assist in setting AA (Vic)’s future strategic direction and determining priority industry issues of focus for our administration team.
This group comprises experienced operators of a diverse range of metropolitan and regional hotels, motels, serviced apartments, resorts and motor inns.

Our Partners
AA (Vic) maintain commercial and corporate partnerships with a wide cross section of key product and service providers to the hospitality industry.
We facilitate opportunities for hoteliers and corporate partners to meet and discuss issues of common interest during the year, primarily through delivery of an extensive calendar of events.
